Last year, Jasper turned 3 years old and attended his first summer soccer camp with Challenger Sports, the leading camp company in the U.S. with summer camps across the entire country.
This year, Challenger Sports has launched a brand new soccer camp that combines the most popular elements of their two original camp programs, British Soccer (the one Jasper attended) and TetraBrazil. The all new Challenger International Soccer Camp offers instructional camp programs for each age/ability level. Here's an overview:
The TinyTykes program will provide 3-5 year olds with fundamental soccer activities, games, and stories designed to enhance technical skills along with physical and social development.
The Half Day Camp for 6-16 year olds is the most popular program and will provide 3 hours of skill development, games, challenges and competition each day.

International coaches spend a summer in the U.S staying with host families (usually parents of the camp kids) and sharing their skill set. The coaches are wonderful and the best part of the whole camp experience.
So for five days, bright and early at 8 A.M, we showed up ready to play! On the first day, Jasper donned his free jersey and was assigned a ball that he used for the whole week. And yes, the kids get to take their balls home with them at the end of the week!
Jasper's cheeks must have hurt from all of the smiling he did during camp. He had so much fun!
At this age, these camps are as much about early skills as they are about confidence, learning how to take direction, and learning how to play well with other kids.
Have I mentioned how awesome Coach Daniel is?! He was SO great with the kids and emanated such high energy a positive attitude.
Jasper did not mind that his group was really small, he had the time of his life each day of the week.
Coach Daniel used several games and interesting techniques to teach skills. I don't think the kids even knew they were learning anything - they were just having a blast.
Jasper had a blast and we will definitely be coming back to Challenger for a third year! Visit https://www.challengersports.com/international_soccer/ to find a camp near you - they are located all across the country with over 3,000 camps, clinics, and tournaments. It's been such a great experience for Jasper!
